January Update
Dear Friends,
We would like to send New Year greetings to all and trust you had a blessed Christmas. December was a very special month for Amy and I and we enjoyed great times with many friends and family.
I began the month on Friday the 1st meeting with the Southeast US church planters networking team. About 8 of us met at the BMW office and it was a very profitable and encouraging time.
Amy and I went to Lancaster, PA for a 4 day vacation, Monday-Thursday (Dec 4-7). A highlight of our time there was seeing the drama, The Miracle of Christmas, at the Sight and Sound Theatre. It started our month off just right by focusing our thoughts on Jesus, the reason we celebrate Christmas. Jana hosted a spectacular tea for all the BMW ladies at her home on Saturday, Dec. 9th. Amy decorated our house and it looked like a "Winter Wonderland" in spite of the warm weather outside. We had two open house times--one for our neighborhood and one for our church family, and had friends and family coming and going all month. We especially enjoyed our church's Christmas musical and the children's Christmas program. Jill was involved in both of those.
Cara came home from Korea on December 9th and stayed for three weeks. Eric came home from college a few days before Christmas and brought a friend, Sarah Toliver, to spend the holidays. Three of Cara's friends from SYME Korea, who are currently studying at the Word of Life Bible Institute in New York, also came down to Atlanta, so both our house, and Jill and Vince's house next door, were bustling with people. We had a wonderful time. We missed having Aimee, who just moved to Chicago, and Susan, Don and the boys from Michigan. Hopefully next year we will ALL be together.
Vince and I left on Friday, Dec. 29th, for our annual golf trip to Myrtle Beach and we had a great time. 8 of us played golf for 4 days, and it was a special time of fun, fellowship, and "male bonding"!
Thank you for faithfully standing with us in ministry during 2006. Our prayer is that together we will all serve our Lord faithfully in the year 2007. .
