May Monthly Update

Dear Friends,

We are beginning the month of May and realize how fast 2007 is passing. The Lord is blessing us very much and we are encouraged in our ministry. May always has several special days. One of course is Mothers Day which is Sunday, May 13, this year. Another is Jerry’s birthday on May 14 and this year he reaches the milestone of 70 years. He says that he may be 70 but he doesn’t have to feel or act like it! We are having a birthday party on Saturday, May 12th from 2 to 5 and would like to invite anyone who can, to come and help him celebrate. The first Sunday of May is always memorial at the little church in Golden Valley, NC, where Amy's parents are buried so we plan to be there this weekend.

As April began we were at Honesdale Gospel Tabernacle in Honesdale, PA for a weekend of ministry. On Monday, April 2, we got up early and drove to Lancaster, PA, where we attended an IFCA pastors breakfast with about 20 men. It was a good time of fellowship and encouragement. Then we drove that afternoon to Richmond, VA where we spent the night with two of Jerry's sisters. We drove home on Tuesday and were home for a week. On Wednesday, April 4, our daughter, Susan, came to spend her week of Spring Break with us and we had great fun having all three of our daughters together with us.

On Thursday, April 12, we flew to Baltimore, MD and then drove to Lancaster, PA. We had a great time with Steve and Becky Cornell and spoke at Millersville Bible Church 3 times. The church provided us with wonderful lodging at Willow Valley Inn and we also got to see the Sight and Sound production, “In The Beginning.” We arrived back in Atlanta on Wednesday, April 18. On Sunday, April 22, Jerry preached at our new church plant, Community Bible Church in Bethlehem, GA. We are pleased with the way it is coming along. We had a quick trip to Ridgecrest, NC for a BMA (Bible Memory Association) Reunion on Monday and Tuesday, April 23 and 24. It was a great blessing to reconnect with folks we worked together with at Miracle Camp back in the 70's and 80's.

During the time we have been home we have had many opportunities for breakfast or lunch meetings for fellowship and planning. We even had a few doctor appointments and both of us seem to be doing well healthwise. We participated in two banquets here at the mission. A Volunteers Banquet was to honor all the folks who help out as volunteers here at BMW. A Retirement Banquet honored two of our long time Board Members, Elwood & Joy Chipchase and Frank & Virginia Almas, who are retiring from the BMW board this year.

We are so appreciative for the part you have in praying for us and supporting us in so many ways. Thanks!
